What Makes Metallic Epoxy Different?

Metallic epoxy isn't just a floor coating - it's a functional art piece. Using 100% solids epoxy and metallic pigment powders, our system creates a one-of-a-kind flowing, luminous surface that can't be replicated. Each installation is completely unique.

The system starts with a required moisture vapor barrier for slab protection, followed by our Premium Clear Epoxy loaded with metallic powder, finished with a water-based polyurethane topcoat. The result is a floor with extraordinary visual depth that holds up to real daily use.

The Metallic Effect

Apply the metallic clear epoxy at 35–70 ft²/gal depending on desired visual effect
Thicker application = more flow and depth in the metallic marble effect
Manipulate while wet to create custom patterns and effects
Metallic pigment powders available in multiple tones

Vapor Protection

Westcoat EC-15 is required - do not mix partial kits
Can be left clear or lightly tinted with metallic powder
Note: adding pigment to the vapor barrier may reduce maximum vapor protection slightly

We've been in the concrete coating business for 25 years. For most of that time, we used what was available - good products, but never exactly what we needed. This year, we finally decided to do something about it. We partnered with Westcoat to develop our own line of coatings, tweaked from the ground up to fit the way we actually work. River Coatings products aren't designed for a catalog - they're designed for the field, based on two and a half decades of learning what works and what doesn't. We didn't set out to be a product company. But here we are, and we're proud of what we put together.
